Dear Friend,

Last year’s production of THE SECRET GARDEN was an entertaining delight. So as we begin our 64 thyear; we are proud to present the Broadway musical, ANNIE . The musical is based upon the popular   Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie, with music by   Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and the book by   Thomas Meehan. The original Broadway production opened in 1977 and ran for nearly six years, setting a record for the Alvin Theatre (now the   Neil Simon Theatre ). It spawned numerous productions in many countries, as well as national tours, and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The musical's songs "Tomorrow" and "It's the Hard-Knock Life" are among its most popular musical numbers. ANNIE will be performed at historic Cheney Hall, 177 Hartford Road, in Manchester. Performance dates are April 1, 2, 9, at 8:00 p.m. and April 3 and 10 at 2:00 p.m. Our production is directed by Jane Cerosky, with music direction by Christopher Weed, and choreography by Todd Santa Maria.
