ABOUT MMP (Cont.)

During the 1980's, the Players began producing more Broadway musicals and in 1990, the group changed its name to The Manchester Musical Players, Inc., to reflect its expanded repertoire. Since 1992, the Players have been performing at historic Cheney Hall. The Players participate in numerous community programs and perform at seasonal events, such as "A Dickens of a Downtown Christmas," "Christmas at the Mark Twain House Tours," the Wadsworth Atheneum's "Festival of Trees," and the Manchester "Arts In The Garden." The Players also perform at various retirement centers, hospitals, and churches in the area.

In Memorium

MMP is saddened to announce the passing in 2002 of two of our founding members, Benny Campagna and Bob Gordon. It was their dream and hard work that started this group and their spirit and dedication that kept it going in the early years. It is their spirit that still drives us today. We will sorely miss their faces in the audience and their praise and encouragement as they greeted the cast after the show. Thanks, Benny and Bob. Your legacy lives on.
